Looking Up Or Down, seemed the perfect titled for this painting. Another one of my favorite places to walk my dogs is the local cemetery. It really is a beautiful place with mountain views and very old maple and oak trees. I love to look up at the tree canopies.
I have lived in my Hamlet for about thirty-five years. Some of my friends and neighbors are buried here but some of the grave stones date back to the late seventeen hundreds. I find the stones are beautiful and each one is unique. I enjoy the beautiful discolorations on the stones from time and the mold that has grown on them. All is a wonder no matter where you look.
